How Much Does a Webflow Website Cost After the 2026 Premium Plan Change? — American Web Guild guide card

( The Short Answer )

A Webflow website costs $15 a month on Basic or $25 a month on the new Premium plan ($39 billed monthly) since Webflow merged its $23 CMS and $39 Business plans on May 13, 2026, with existing sites moving from June 29. Design and build adds $1,000–$6,000 from a freelancer, $5,000–$15,000 from a mid-tier agency, or $349–$1,299 on our fixed packages, so three years runs about $1,250 to $16,000. The full website cost guide covers other platforms.

For years the Webflow cost question had a standard answer: $14 for a static site, $23 if you needed the CMS, $39 for Business. In May 2026 Webflow replaced the middle two with one plan, and most of the guides still online are quoting the old numbers.

Here is what changed, what a Webflow site costs now by plan and by who builds it, and the three-year total.

What changed in May 2026

Webflow's own help centre article, Updated pricing and simplified plans for May 2026, is the source for everything in this section. The CMS plan ($23 a month yearly) and the Business plan ($39) were merged into a single Premium plan at $25 a month yearly or $39 monthly. Basic rose from $14 to $15 yearly ($25 monthly) and its static-page limit doubled to 300. Ecommerce plans did not change.

Basic$14$15 ($25 monthly)300 static pages, no CMS
CMS$23Merged into Premium—
Business$39Merged into Premium—
Premium—$25 ($39 monthly)300 pages, 40 CMS collections, 20,000 CMS items, 50 GB bandwidth, site search, unlimited form submissions

The timing matters if you already have a site. New site plans switched on May 13, 2026. Existing sites moved from June 29, 2026 — except sites inside Freelancer or Agency Workspaces and sites on legacy discounts from 2022 or earlier, which move on November 16, 2026. Former CMS customers get more for roughly $2 more a month: double the static pages and ten times the CMS items. Former Business customers pay less but lose half their included bandwidth (100 GB down to 50 GB), so a high-traffic Business site may end up paying for a bandwidth add-on; Webflow's own worked example shows a $6 a month increase in that case.

PlanYearly billingMonthly billingFor

Basic$15$25Static brochure sites, no blog
Premium$25$39Any site with a blog or CMS — most business sites
Ecommerce Standard$29$42Up to 500 items, 2% transaction fee
Ecommerce Plus$74$84Up to 5,000 items, no transaction fee
Ecommerce Advanced$212$235Up to 15,000 items

Hosting, SSL, CDN and the CMS are all inside those figures — there is no separate hosting bill and no plugin to renew. For a service business with a blog, Premium at $25 a month is the realistic plan, which is $300 a year and $900 over three.

Design and build: freelancer, agency or fixed price

Webflow design and build cost, US, 2026. Freelancer and agency ranges from Branded Agency's and KrishaWeb's 2026 Webflow cost guides.

Branded Agency's 2026 Webflow cost guide puts freelancers at $50–$120 an hour and $1,000–$6,000 per project; KrishaWeb's freelancer-versus-agency breakdown puts mid-tier agencies at $5,000–$15,000 and top-tier at $15,000–$50,000. Both are agencies, so weight accordingly — but the ranges match the quotes clients forward to us.

The three-year total

American Web Guild package$349 – $1,299$900$1,249 – $2,199

Compare that plan column with WordPress's: managed hosting plus a plugin stack runs $1,200–$6,000 over three years, and someone has to apply the updates. Webflow's running cost is low and flat, which is the real argument for it — the website maintenance cost guide explains why a site with no plugin surface needs so much less looking after. The Webflow versus WordPress comparison runs the two side by side.

When to hire, and when to do it yourself

Do it yourself when

  • You are a designer, or willing to spend 40–80 hours becoming one. Webflow rewards people who understand the box model.
  • The site is a template job: pick one, swap the brand, place the content.
  • Budget under $600. A good template plus Premium is a legitimate site.

Hire when

  • You want a layout nobody else has. Webflow's whole point is design control, and templates give it away.
  • You need the CMS structured well — collections, references, filters — so content still works in year two.
  • There are integrations: a CRM, Memberstack, a booking tool, a custom form flow.
  • Your time is worth more than $30 an hour. At 60 hours, DIY costs more than our top package.

What we charge for Webflow

Our Webflow development packages are the same fixed prices as every platform we build on — $349 for three pages, $689 for ten and $1,299 for fifteen — custom-designed, with the copy written, a first concept in 48 to 72 hours and launch in fourteen days. The Webflow site lives in a Workspace you own; we are added as a collaborator, and the Premium plan is billed to you by Webflow at $25 a month with no mark-up. The packages are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Webflow cost per month in 2026?
$15 a month for Basic or $25 for Premium on yearly billing ($25 and $39 billed monthly) since May 2026, when Webflow merged its $23 CMS and $39 Business plans into Premium. Ecommerce plans are unchanged at $29, $74 and $212 yearly. Starter is free on a webflow.io subdomain.
What happened to the Webflow CMS and Business plans?
Webflow merged them into a single Premium plan at $25 a month yearly, effective May 13, 2026 for new sites and June 29 for existing ones (November 16 for sites in Freelancer or Agency Workspaces or on legacy discounts). Premium includes 300 pages, 40 collections, 20,000 CMS items and 50 GB of bandwidth.
Did Webflow's price go up or down?
For CMS customers, up about $2 a month with far higher limits. For Business customers, down $14 a month but with included bandwidth halved to 50 GB, so high-traffic sites may need a bandwidth add-on and end up paying slightly more. Basic rose from $14 to $15.
How much does it cost to hire a Webflow designer?
$50–$120 an hour or $1,000–$6,000 per project for a freelancer; $5,000–$15,000 for a mid-tier agency and $15,000 and up for top-tier studios. Our fixed-price Webflow packages run $349–$1,299 with the copy written.
Is Webflow cheaper than WordPress?
To run, usually yes: Premium is $300 a year with hosting, CDN and CMS included and nothing to update, against $400–$2,000 a year for WordPress hosting and a plugin stack plus someone to maintain it. To build, costs are similar; Webflow designers charge about what WordPress developers do.
Do I need the Premium plan or is Basic enough?
Basic ($15) is enough for a static brochure site with no blog or CMS. The moment you want a blog, a portfolio of projects, team pages or anything managed as a collection, you need Premium ($25). Most business sites end up on Premium.
