Webflow development for marketing sites that need motion, a real CMS and a team that owns the design.
- 14-day standard build
- Fixed price, in writing
- You own everything
( The short version )
Webflow development, defined in one paragraph.
Webflow development is designing a site and building it visually in Webflow's Designer, with the content modelled as CMS collections and the motion built as native interactions — so the result is a custom site your marketing team can edit without touching the design. American Web Guild builds Webflow sites for companies nationwide from Sacramento. Packages are $349, $689 and $1,299 for three, ten and fifteen pages; Webflow's own site plan is billed by Webflow. A standard build is live in 14 days, the homepage concept is free within 72 hours without a call, and the project sits in your Webflow workspace, under your account, from day one.
Who it is for
- SaaS, fintech and B2B companies whose marketing site changes weekly.
- Startups that want a launch site now and a CMS that scales to a hundred pages.
- Design-led brands that care how a page moves, not just how it looks.
- Marketing teams tired of filing a developer ticket to change a headline.
- Agencies and funds that need many similar pages — portfolio companies, locations — from one template.
( What you get )
BUILT IN, NOT BOLTED ON
Every Webflow build includes the following. If something you need is missing, it goes in the quote before work starts — not in an invoice after.
A design system inside the Designer
Colours, type and spacing as Webflow variables, components for every repeating element, class names your team can read. Change a style once and it updates on every page that uses it.
CMS collections modelled for your content
Blog, case studies, team, locations, integrations, job listings: each a collection with the fields it needs, reference fields linking them, and collection pages designed once and filled a hundred times.
Motion that belongs
Scroll and hover interactions built natively in Webflow, plus GSAP where Webflow's own interactions stop. Every effect is measured against performance, because motion that costs Core Web Vitals is not worth having.
Pages that load fast
Responsive images through Webflow's CDN, no unused interactions left in the project, custom code kept small and loaded late. We check the published site on real phones, not the Designer preview.
SEO handled where Webflow handles it well
Semantic tags, Open Graph fields on every collection template, clean slugs, the 301 redirect list, XML sitemap, canonical rules. Schema is added through custom code embeds where it earns its place.
Forms and integrations connected
Native forms wired to your CRM, HubSpot and Calendly embedded cleanly, analytics and consent configured, notifications routed to the right inbox. Nothing left as a 'we'll connect it later'.
Localisation and gated content, scoped honestly
Webflow Localization for multi-language sites, and a third-party auth tool such as Memberstack for gated content. These are where Webflow's plan costs climb, so we say so in the brief instead of after launch.
Handover with editor training
Your team invited to the workspace with Editor roles, a recorded walkthrough of adding a CMS item and editing page copy, and a one-page set of rules on what to change in the Designer and what to leave alone.
( Honest fit )
When Webflow is the right call — and when it isn’t.
Pick Webflow when
- The site is a marketing site: pages, a blog, case studies, landing pages for campaigns.
- Your team will edit it often and wants a visual editor with guardrails, not raw code.
- Motion and polish matter, and you want them built in rather than bolted on.
- You are happy with a hosted platform and a monthly site plan in exchange for zero maintenance.
We’d point you elsewhere when
- You sell products. Webflow has an Ecommerce plan, but Shopify is a far better store, and we will say so.
- The site needs user accounts, dashboards or data from your own systems. That is custom web development; Webflow can still be the marketing front end.
- You publish heavily and want editorial workflow, many authors and no platform fee. WordPress is built for exactly that.
- Budget decides and the site is three pages. Squarespace does it on a lower monthly plan.
( How it works )
Fourteen days, four stages, no mystery.
- Day 0–1
Brief. A short form or a 20-minute call. We ask what you sell, who buys it, and what a lead is worth.
On WebflowWe agree the CMS structure — which collections, which fields, how they link — in the brief, because changing it after the pages are built is the expensive part.
- Day 2–3
Free concept. You get a custom homepage design. No payment yet. This is the decision point — approve, revise, or walk.
On WebflowThe homepage concept is built in the Designer, so what you approve is already a Webflow page with the motion working, not a flat mockup of one.
- Day 4–10
Build. Remaining pages designed, copy written, everything coded. One shared link, updated live, so you're never waiting on an email.
On WebflowPages built from the design system, collections populated with your real content, interactions tuned, and a staging link on the webflow.io subdomain so you review it live.
- Day 11–14
Review & launch. Two rounds of revisions, testing across devices, analytics installed, then live. You get the walkthrough video the same day.
On WebflowRedirects imported, SEO fields checked on every template, the site plan activated on your account, domain connected, published. The staging link stays up for comparison.
Day 15+ 30 days of unlimited changes, included. Then a care plan if you want one.

The Website Design tiers are the build price for three, ten or fifteen designed pages, with each CMS collection template counting as a page. Webflow bills its own hosting: since May 13, 2026 the CMS and Business site plans have been merged into a single Premium plan at $25 a month on yearly billing or $39 month to month, and that is the plan most marketing sites need. A static site with no CMS can run on a cheaper plan.
Not in the tier price
- Webflow Premium site plan — $25/mo yearly or $39 monthly — billed by Webflow
- Webflow workspace seats, if more of your team needs Designer access than the free workspace allows
- Third-party tools you choose to add, such as Memberstack for gated content or premium fonts
- Rush delivery, +$500
( Migrations )
Moving to Webflow — or away from it — without losing what ranks.
- WordPress
- Posts and pages are exported as CSV and imported into CMS collections field by field; the design is rebuilt in the Designer. Every URL is mapped in Webflow's redirect list so rankings follow. You lose the plugins — and most sites moving to Webflow are glad to.
- Wix or Squarespace
- Neither exports a usable design, so the site is designed afresh. Blog posts come over by CSV or RSS, images are re-uploaded, and the domain points to Webflow with no downtime between the two.
- Framer or an older Webflow project
- Framer content is rebuilt by hand. An old Webflow project is cloned into a new one on a clean class system, then the domain moves over inside the same account so billing never changes.
- Webflow to somewhere else
- If you outgrow Webflow we export the CMS as CSV and the static HTML, CSS and JS as a zip, which a developer can rebuild on custom code. It is one reason we recommend the platform at all: you can leave.

WEBFLOW, EXPLAINED
With us, the build is $349 for a three-page site, $689 for ten pages and $1,299 for up to fifteen, designed from scratch and built in Webflow. On top of that, Webflow bills a site plan: since May 2026 the CMS and Business plans have merged into one Premium plan at $25 a month on yearly billing or $39 monthly. There is no other licence to pay, and the full tier list is on our pricing page.
Webflow, for a marketing site with a design team or an agency behind it: the design control is deeper, the CMS is more structured, the exported code is cleaner and the hosting is faster. Wix Studio is easier for a non-designer to build alone and cheaper to start. If someone else is building the site for you, Webflow gives you more site for the same build price; if you want to drag things around yourself every week, Wix Studio is more forgiving.
For a marketing site maintained by marketers, usually yes: no plugins to update, no hosting to manage, no security patching, and a visual editor that cannot break the layout. WordPress is better for heavy publishing, large editorial teams, memberships, and anyone who wants open-source software on their own server at no platform fee. We build both; the deciding question is who maintains it and what it has to do. How to choose a web design company covers the rest.
Turns a design into a working Webflow site: builds the class and component system, models the CMS collections, wires the interactions, writes any custom code embeds, sets up SEO fields and redirects, connects forms to your CRM, and configures the site plan and domain. A good one also leaves the project in a state your team can edit without undoing the design.
Yes. Editors change text, images and CMS items — publish a blog post, add a case study, update a price — straight on the page, without access to the Designer. Anyone who should touch layout gets Designer access and a short set of rules. Changes publish in one click and roll back from Webflow's backups if something goes wrong.
Yes. Every existing URL is mapped to its new one in Webflow's redirect list, titles and descriptions are carried across, and the sitemap is resubmitted on launch day. We run this redesign SEO checklist on every migration. Expect a few weeks of fluctuation; a well-mapped migration ends up ahead because the new site is faster.
You do. The project is created in your Webflow workspace and the site plan is on your card, so we never hold the account. At handover we are removed as collaborators. If you ever leave Webflow, the CMS exports to CSV and the code exports to a zip. Our comparison of custom code and hosted platforms explains the trade.
It has an Ecommerce plan, and for a few products on a marketing site it works. For a real store — many SKUs, discount logic, subscriptions, a serious app ecosystem — Shopify is the better platform, and we will tell you so in the brief rather than sell you a Webflow store.
